The Department of English offers optional concentrations for students following catalog requirements from 2020 or earlier.

The concentrations are open to students from any major and are designed to provide  an opportunity to focus coursework in three different areas: Creative Writing, Irish Literature, and Teaching English.

Students completing a concentration must submit the online application during the last semester of coursework. After verifying degree conferral and completion of required courses, an electronic letter and certificate are sent to the student’s UConn email address.
